 Vision:

To acquire quality Education, Research and Development in the field of Information technology meeting the global standards and comply with the ever-growing technology.

Mission:

M1: The graduates of our department will be efficient in technical and ethical responsibilities to become globally recognized by pursuing opportunities for higher studies and real time problem solving.

M2: Project development in association with the Government, Industries and Professionals will be done that can meet industrial needs.

M3: Students will be competent by learning the principals of Information technology that can match national and international standards.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs):

Information Technology of Government Polytechnic, Ahmedabad has set certain Program Educational Outcomes that will be in accordance to realize our Vision and Mission.

PEO 1: Acquisition of a well-defined professional career and opportunities in higher studies by learning the methodology of computation, mathematics, analytics and basic principles of engineering.

PEO 2: Students will be able to identify and analyse the real time problems and provide technical solutions through developing applications that can solve these problems.

PEO 3: Students will have excellent professional and ethical skills with morality and interpersonal communication abilities to adapt the prevalent trends in technology and ever-changing technology.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs):

PSO 1: Develop skills to design, analyze and develop algorithms and implement those using high-level programming languages.

PSO 2: Through learning subjects of program students can use their engineering skills in information engineering domains like network design and administration and can perform database design to develop applications according to enterprise standards.

PSO 3: Develop strong skills in planning, developing, testing implementing and providing IT solutions by real time problem solving for different domains which helps in the growth of society.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs)

1.  Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.

2.  Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.

3.  Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.

4.  Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.

5.  Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.

6.  Project Management:  Use engineering management principles individually, as a

team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.

7.  Life-long learning: Ability to analyse individual needs and engage in updating in the context of technological changes.
